1. How much is the rent?
Please contact Event Director at 205.332.6119 for all rental inquiries.
2. What is included in the rental amount?
Rental of our facility includes use of our catering kitchen (including warmer, refrigerator, and ice machine), use of our stage and dance floor, 25 - 60" Round Tables and 20 - 6' Rectangle Tables, and 200 banquet chairs. On the day of your event, our Event Director will be on site to assist you with any questions, vendor deliveries, and to see that everything runs smoothly.
3. How long do we have the building?
Room rental includes 8 hours of rental. These 8 hours does included set-up and breakdown. Additional hours may be purchased at a rate of $250/hr. If your event lasts longer than you allotted time, you will be charged $250/hr for each additional hour.
4. Do we have to use your caterer?
Any caterer with a Homewood business license is permitted.
5. Do you provide chairs,tables and linens?
We provide 200 banquet style chairs. We also provide 35 rectangular tables (6ft), 25 round tables (60 inch) and 10 bistro tables. We do provided linens at an additional cost.
6. How many guests can Rosewood Hall accommodate?
We can accommodate up to 500 guests for a reception. This includes use of all 3 meeting rooms and the Terrazo (foyer) area. We have banquet seating for 200 at 60 inch round tables.
7. What is the best way to tour Rosewood Hall at SoHo Square?
An appointment is needed to tour the facility. Please call Event Director's office 205.332.6119 to make an appointment.
8. What are your restrictions?
We try to accommodate our clients as much as possible to ensure that their event is a success. We do not allow throwing of rice, birdseed, confetti inside the building or on adjacent grounds. The use of bubbles in prohibited inside the building. Decorations may not be attached to or hung from the walls of ceilings. Only table and free standing decorations are allowed. No loose glitter, sparkles, or sequins may be used as decorations.
9. Can I serve alcohol at my event?
Rosewood Hall does allow you to have alcohol at your event, but all alcohol must go through Rosewood Hall. The renter will also be required to pay an increased security deposit as set out in Appendix A of Rental Agreement. You will get this increase security deposit back after your event, granted there are no damages to the room. Also, the services of 2 off-duty uniformed Homewood Police officers will be required. Under no circumstances may alcohol be allowed outside of the building.
10. How do I reserve the room?
To reserve the room, please call Event Director 205.332.6119 or you may email at Event Director. A 50% room rental deposit is required to reserve a date. Rental dates are on a first come first serve basis
11. Who do I make my check payable to?
Make checks payable to City of Homewood.
12. Can I use a valet?
Yes, you are free to hire any valet company to work your event. Your valets can use our front drive, which allows guest to be dropped off right in front of Rosewood Hall.
